Las Vegas Outfit Ideas
Any casino-themed party is not complete without the appropriate outfits, and while there are tons of different ideas for casino parties of every shape and size, it’s always good to back to the roots of what made casinos what they are today: Las Vegas. The city of Las Vegas changed the face of both North America and the world, introducing us to all the entertainment and fun that casinos had to offer, and for those that want to throw the ultimate casino-based party, then Las Vegas is the perfect theme.
Glitz and Glam, Casino Style. Some casinos, like those in Las Vegas, are all about the glitz and glamor. If you're planning a night in Vegas, you want to dress in pieces that sparkle and shine. For women, go with a standout sequin dress and pair it with some sexy heels, or get a metallic top and wear it with dressy black pants and heels. Well, before we go into details about what to wear to a casino night, it is important to remind ourselves and emphasise that each casino has its own dress code. Still, it is always a good idea to visit the websites of the casinos you are interested in, and figure out the rules and the atmosphere prior to going to these places. In Season 2, Episode 22 of The Office, titled 'Casino Night,' everything changed. After years of crushing on his friend and co-worker Pam Beesly, Jim Halpert decided to declare his love for her in. We have several different Casino theme hats including the Casino Night Hi-Hat and the White Hi-Hat with gold band to make you look like a high roller. We have a R ed Barbershop Quartet Vest and skimmer hat that will make your outfit complete. However you want to dress up for your Casino party, we have what you need including spades shaped glasses.
Most of the outfits that are based on Las Vegas are not difficult to pull off, and can be done on a relatively small budget without losing any of the spirit of the casinos. Any Las Vegas idea can bring together any party nicely, especially if it has the right food and the right costumes. So the next time you’re bored of playing your favourite no deposit bonus casino games, rather invite some friends over to enjoy your own little slice of Las Vegas with these costume ideas.
Las Vegas Outfit Ideas – Famous Acts
- Elvis Presley: A legend in the music and film world, the King of Rock took the world by storm in the 1950s, and created an entirely new genre of music that was unheard of up to that point. Not only was the music incredible, but also the look and style of Elvis became a legend of its own, and it’s still one of the most popular Las Vegas party themes around.
- Frank Sinatra: On the other end of the spectrum we have Frank Sinatra, who is often associated with classy dinners, fantastic music, and glamorous suits.
- Phantom of The Opera: Similar in some ways to the previous idea, this one entails more mystery. Guests can dress up using masks, allowing for some interesting party games, and even a little role-play.
- Cirque de Soleil: A famous circus troop that tours the world and attracts millions of fans, this theme is truly unique, and makes for a more colourful event, allowing guests to dress up in something a little more strange, and giving you the chance to enjoy some more interesting games during the evening.
Las Vegas Outfit Ideas – History Costumes
- The Wild West: An incredibly famous and romanticised time in American history, this theme was extremely popular in Las Vegas for many years, and even to this day. Generally quite easy to put together, and fun for just about everyone, the Wild West theme is a favourite for many.
- 1930s Gangsters: During the 1930s, gangsters were everywhere. While they were violent at their peek, they quickly disappeared toward the end of the 30s, and have since become popular figures in modern culture. Their famous suits and unparalleled style has kept them popular in Las Vegas.
Thanks to the wide range of acts and types of casinos in Las Vegas, the ideas for themes are almost endless. But the ideas mentioned here can help those looking for something quick and cheap to entertain their friends at their next casino-themed party.
Casino Night Clothes
The Student Programming Board (SPB) is hosting the semi-annual SUU Casino Night on Saturday, April 7 at 8 p.m. in the Student Center. This event is perfect for those who want that casino experience without driving to Vegas, and classy attire is recommended! Casino Night will include favorites like Texas Hold’em, Blackjack, Craps and Roulette.
Texas Hold’em- a variation of poker in which each player is dealt two cards face down. There is then a round of betting, in this case with chips, where you can check, bet or fold. When all the betting has finished, three shared cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table. There is another round of betting, then a final card is shown. After another round of betting, the best five card hands win.
Blackjack- rather than playing against one another, you play against the dealer. The players and the dealer receive two cards each. The players’ cards are normally dealt face up, while the dealer has one face down and one face up. A winner is chosen when their hand of cards totals 21.
The best possible Blackjack hand is an ace with any 10-point card.
Craps- each player is given chips to bet with and takes a turn rolling the dice. Everyone bets on the same roll. Whoever rolls keeps rolling until they roll a “losing 7” (rolls a seven at the wrong time), and then the next player gets to roll. The goal is to roll a 7 or 11 on the first roll, or roll a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 before a 7 comes up.
Roulette- each player places a bet on where they think the ball will land when spun. A wheel is then spun. Once the ball stops, winners are paid and a new round begins. Each bet gets a different payout.
Each winner at Casino Night will receive tickets that they can exchange for drawings and prizes. If you are dressed in the craziest Oscar’s outfit and send in a photo of you and your attire with #Tbirdnation to the SPB Twitter, you could also win 10 extra tickets!
SPB is still looking for students to volunteer as dealers for Casino Night. Dealers must stay through the entire event and will receive 10 tickets for their time. All interested volunteers may sign up here.
