The School Board also provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups. Lack of English language skills will not be a barrier to admission and participation. The district may assess each student’s ability to benefit from specific programs through placement tests and counseling, and, if necessary, will provide services. A vocational program is any course of study or practical training offered by a trade school, technical institute, or vocational college that is designed to lead directly to career opportunities in a particular field. The Monmouth County Vocational School District programs are open to all students regardless of race, color, national origin, gender or disability. Applicants are required to meet the district’s general admission criteria as well as the individual program’s admission criteria. The District will take steps to assure that the lack of English-language proficiency will not be a barrier to admission and participation in CTE programs.

The MCVSD submitted the Funding Certification and Agreement Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. MCVSD received $60,651 from the Department of Education, Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund, section 18004(c) of the CARES act. This funding was divided equally to the 47 students who were enrolled in our programs on March 27, 2020. The Emergency Financial Aid Grants will be paid to the students by check on or before June 30, 2020.
